Febueder
WE SAY
Ascot-based duo Febueder are a band who we have been following over the past two years, having previously featured their singles Morning Yawn and Then There Were Two. Now readying their debut album for release later this year, Kieran (vocalist/multi-instrumentalist) and Samuel (percussionist) have released this moment of obscure electronica today (11 June), with its haunting blend of brass, guitars and jazz-flecked percussion providing the background for the duo's sparse vocals. Think Alt-J spliced with Shlohmo and Roller Trio, and you will be somewhere near soundwise. Its use of intricate sounds throughout creates an absorbing atmosphere that is just gorgeous, perfect for film/TV syncs and any chilled/out there contextual playlists. With a growing cult following (their last five London shows have all sold out), it's not only us who have sung their praises but also the Line of Best Fit, Clash, NME, Pigeons & Planes, Complex and Indie Shuffle too. So if you haven't yet checked them out, we highly recommend you do. Alluring avant-indie electronica.
