Saviour [EP]
February
WE SAY
The title track to the debut EP from February is a pumping synth-driven electro affair that certainly makes you sit up and pay attention from the very first listen. The group is a Russian five-piece who all met in a bar when the four lads started chatting up lead singer Masha. Legend has it that they'd agreed to form a band by the end of that boozy evening and, after playing a few gigs in London, decided to relocate fully to the capital. It was here that their early demos caught the ear of producer Jay Reynolds (who's recently been working with Ella Eyre and Bipolar Sunshine) and he's now completing their debut album Perfect Dependence, set for release early in the new year on February 9. Support so far has come from Xfm's Xposure show and Lauren Laverne at BBC 6Music where the track was her Headphone Moment. See them live at The Finsbury in London on October 10 (supporting Love Nor Money). Icy, cool, edgy but with a screamer of a chorus, this needs to be played loud.
