EUT
WE SAY
Rising Amsterdam five-piece EUT may already be familiar to some of you, RotD having previously featured them at the start of last year with their infectious, alternative post-pop anthem Bad Sweet Pony and recent strong support at Radio 1 (Annie Mac, Jack Saunders), 6 Music and Radio X. Fronted by the charismatic Megan de Klerk, the group have been gaining significant buzz across Europe for their ‘90s influenced guitar pop and breezy lyricism after performing at Reeperbahn, Les Transmusicales and Eurosonic festivals. Taken from their debut album Fool For The Vibes, this seriously catchy and joyous track with its searing indie-pop chorus, youthful vibrance and grungy guitars is the perfect example of what to expect from their music. They’re one of our hot tips for The Great Escape this week, and perform twice in Brighton, firstly at Komedia on Friday (10 May) at 2.15pm and then on Saturday (11 May) at Horatio's at 8.15pm. Ahead of this, they will be performing in London tomorrow night (8 May) at Notting Hill Arts Club as part of their UK tour and will return to the UK in October for a nine date tour, including a show at the Old Blue Last in London on 22 October. NME, DIY, Clash and many more tastemakers have already fallen for their joyous post pop and have featured in several Spotify playlists, as well as a Deezer Next artist. So if you want to see what all the fuss is about, we'll see you in the crowd.
