Call On Me

Eric Prydz

Data

WE SAY

This track could prove pivotal in dance music for two reasons. The Shapeshifters track is what we'd call a Southern dance record whereas Call On Me (with vocal from Steve Winwood's Valerie) broke out of the North and was the vanguard of Northern dance music going funky, which means radio stations from Kiss to Clyde can comfortably hammer the scene's biggest records. Also, Call On Me could be another crossover no 1 smash like Lola's Theme - result! And we're proud to have been very early on this, writing about it back in May.
