Won’t Do Love That Way is the fifth chapter in the epic storytelling pop collection, Lovers, from RotD favourite Emmi. We first introduced you to her back in 2015 with her excellent debut single My Kinda Swag. Since then, she has been endorsed by Taylor Swift for her single Sleep On It, lent her songwriting and vocal chops to Feder’s Blind and Sonny Alven’s Our Youth, both of which have clocked up over 35m streams, and provided the voice to the jazz-singing goblin in JK Rowling’s movie Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them. Written and created in LA, London and Hamburg, the songs on Lovers explore the confusing, messy world of modern relationships, narrating a single boy meets girl relationship from start to finish. It's an ambitious project with this powerful and gorgeous R&B-tinged pop gem marking a turning point in the collection’s voice, which will see its final chapter released next Friday (30 November). A direct and sure pop banger from an artist and songwriter of the highest calibre with the vocal prowess to match any of the current, or past for that matter, female pop superstars.
