I Love You, You’re the Worst
Emily Burns
WE SAY
Continuing to impress us with every release is our One To Watch 2020 artist Emily Burns. We fell in love with her frank and vulnerable tales of love and life as an unsigned artist, and it has been a pleasure to see her grow in confidence and sign to Island Records. Now with over 44m combined streams and tastemaker love from the likes of Radio 1 (Scott Mills, Adele Roberts & Huw Stephens), Spotify, Sunday Times, Clash and Line of Best Fit, the multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter is back with her new EP I Love You, You’re the Worst today (24 July). This vivacious and distinctly British pop anthem, with echoes of Katy Perry, is the glorious title track of the EP, which features previously released singles Terrified and Hello. It was immediately added to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer new release streaming playlists this morning and expect to see this on new pop playlists soon. Next Thursday (30 July), she will be returning to Abbey Road studios (where she used to work as a receptionist) to perform a livestream. All proceeds from the performance are going towards AKT Charity which supports young and vulnerable LGBTQ+ people faced with homelessness.
