Follow You Home
Embrace
WE SAY
Back in the late 90s, Embrace were one the biggest UK acts to emerge from the post-Britpop scene, racking up three No.1 albums, six Top 10 singles, sold out arena shows and shifting over 2.5 million albums. Now, after seven years away from the spotlight, they return with album number six, full of what we reckon sounds like their most confident and assured material to date, as they prepare to take on the world. This is a band rejuvenated and fired up all over again, about to bring their stirring choruses and anthemic tunes to the eager masses once more. The initial response has been incredible. There's ten live dates this spring (including two nights at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on May 20 and 21, the first of which sold out in minutes and led to the second being rapidly added) taking in Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester & Liverpool before getting into festival season at T In The Park and V. Already a four track EP called Refugees whetted our appetites with Xfm, Radio 2 and Absolute Radio showing huge support and it peaked at No.2 on the iTunes album chart. Follow You Home comes from the forthcoming full album, simply called Embrace (also released 28 April) and we've genuinely never heard singer Danny McNamara sounding better than this. Welcome back, chaps.
