Get Real Get Feel
Ellijai
WE SAY
‘Get Real Get Feel’ is a rallying cry for authenticity in the digital age from rising Scottish sensation Ellijai (pronounced Ellie-Jay). Drawing inspiration from the fierce edge of Paramore, the grit of Wolf Alice, and the anthemic power of Foo Fighters, the 16-year-old singer-songwriter from Glasgow delivers a gorgeous driving rock anthem, tinged with hints of Stevie Nicks and ’80s rock goodness. Produced by her father and musician Ewan MacFarlane in her home studio, the track marks a harder edge to her previous singles, ‘Floating in the Flood’ and ‘All of my Hours’, which have seen support from BBC Introducing Scotland, BBC Radio Scotland and more regional Scottish radio support. Released today (13 September), ‘Get Real Get Feel’ is perfect for additions to pop-rock and rock-themed editorial playlists at DSPs, alongside spins on Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music, and BBC Introducing. Tastemaker praise for the single so far has come from All Scottish Radio, East Kilbride News, The Daily Record, Belter Radio and The Sound Lab, to name just a few. Watch the video here. With her self-composed relatable lyrics and captivating voice, Ellijai is not just a promising young artist for her generation but for the masses too.
