Back in August 2020, we featured the brilliant Swedish singer-songwriter Ellen Krauss and her upbeat, stripped-back number New York. Since then, she has released her debut LP, Pearl, which has amassed over 47m streams and earned platinum status. Along the way, she has gained plaudits from Billboard, Earmilk, Clash, and Spotify Sweden, among others. Earlier this year, she returned with her first material since her debut LP, the single Shouldn’t I Just Let You Know? and is now back with this warm, heartfelt and captivating folk/country pop affair. It’s gorgeous and has already garnered tastemaker support at DSPs with additions to Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists.
