Snowball

Elbow

V2

WE SAY

We're still getting to grips with the Warchild 2005 tracks but here is our early favourite from Elbow. We've always liked Elbow and it feels like they're on the cusp of mainstream success. Their music is sincere and heartfelt, and they manage to stay the right side of pretentious. But they're also more musically ambitious than their peers as Snowball demonstrates. For further evidence, listen to Grace Under Pressure, their wonderful former Record of the Day which inspired Coldplay's Fix You.
