With over 850,000 views of its video on YouTube in various forms, this track has become something of a phenomenon. Paddy Power has installed Chacarron as fifth favourite at 12/1 to be the Christmas no1. Radio 1's Scott Mills has been playing it regularly trying to repeat or better the job he did with campaigning on David Hasselhoff’s no 3 single. TV support has come from The Hits and The Box, where it got to no 15 in their charts. There has been plenty of press coverage for this thoroughly bizarre, but ultimately fun record. This could break huge in the same vein as Crazy Frog if it achieves the right momentum. JF
