Why Don’t You Know
Eden Lole
WE SAY
Last month, we introduced you to Northampton-born and London-based singer-songwriter Eden Lole and her sublime single No Label. Her fusion of contemporary jazz and soul with traditional pop, along with lyrics laced with sass and tender vocals has seen the 23 year old pick up praise from Gemma Bradley at BBC Radio 1, Amazing Radio US, Sofar Sounds, Stereofox, and Honey Pop, to name just a few. Now back with her new single, Why Don’t You Know, Eden returns with a track that leans more on the soulful and gospel side. Co-written with EdBl, the track is full of classic soul vibes paired with modern flourishes for an honest and vulnerable ode. Perfect for new R&B and Soul playlists, along with contextual mood and playlist, Why Don’t You Know is another fine addition to Eden’s growing catalogue. For fans of Mahalia, Joy Crookes, Pip Millett and Jorja Smith.
