It’s not every day we hear a song that embodies a punk rock attitude, sharp pop sensibilities and that elusive cutting edge. Dream Wife’s latest single Fire is one such track where explosive energy, focussed passion and electric movement entwine to produce something very special. Formed within the walls of art university in Brighton, the English/Icelandic trio of Alice, Bella and Rakel have enjoyed a brilliant year so far with electrifying sets at SXSW, a support tour with The Kills and praise from online and press tastemakers including FADER, Dazed, Guardian, i-D, NME, DIY, Gorilla vs Bear, Nylon and Stereogum. Fire has been embraced by radio with 13 plays on BBC Radio 1 across Annie Mac and Huw Stephens plus more great support on both sides of the Atlantic with BBC 6 Music, Beats1, NPR and KEXP all on board. The trio are in Liverpool tonight to start a 12 date UK headline tour with a London Scala date on 25 October. These will be followed by American headline shows in November. With their debut album planned for early 2018, see for yourselves why Dream Wife are genuinely one of the most exciting bands around.
