Funeral
Dolores Forever
WE SAY
Having wowed audiences at Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds festivals this summer, fast rising duo Dolores Forever dropped this euphoric indie-pop number last week. Formed by close friends and songwriters Hannah Wilson (from Yorkshire) and Julia Fabrin (from Copenhagen), the duo can already count Jack Saunders (Radio 1), Matt Wilkinson (Beats 1), Jo Whiley (Radio 2), Elton John Rocket Hour and BBC Introducing, among their radio supporters for their previous releases, along with Rolling Stone, NME, The i, i-D Magazine, Dummy, Mahagony and a host of DSP editorial playlist support on Spotify and Apple Music. Produced by King Ed (Years & Years, Baby Queen, Dylan) and recorded in London, Funeral is a gorgeous synth-driven pop banger, soaked in hooks and the band’s soaring harmonies. It’s an absolute delight and has picked up early support from The Line of Best Fit, Spotify (NMF) and Apple Music (NMD). Watch the beautiful black and white video here. There is something quite special about this track and duo, and if you haven’t yet explored their music, we recommend you do so. For fans of Holly Humberstone, Stevie Nicks and Sharon Van Etten.
