Divine Brown won two Canadian Urban Music Awards for New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year, and her self-titled debut album sold more than 50,000 copies on its release in Canada. Old Skool Love was the highest debut for a female R&B artist in Canada, spent a month at the top of the singles charts, and was a radio smash to boot.
