We always love it when our contacts in Norway send music directly to our inbox, as the quality is invariably excellent. This brilliant, tropical house-flavoured track from Didrik Thulin was released across Scandinavia, Europe and UK iTunes last weekend, and has instant mass appeal on the very first play. It’s three years now since Didrik’s first single Dancer was released, but it took on a whole new life a year later when his old childhood friend the superstar DJ & producer Kygo remixed it, helping push it to more than 25 million combined plays across YouTube, Spotify and Soundcloud. In the meantime he formed a band called WDSTCK and performed at several showcase festivals including By:Larm in Oslo last year. Now though, he’s put that project on hold, teamed up with another Bergen artist Sonny Alven, and deserves to be featured on playlists around the world with this absolute belter of a track. It’s uplifting, familiar and pushes all the right buttons on a cold winter day in February. Now just imagine how great this’ll sound once spring comes around, blasting out in the sunshine.
