David C Clements
Contrast/The Garden

Third Bar Records

WE SAY

Released last week, ‘Contrast/The Garden’ is the euphoric double A-side offering of Northern Irish indie-rock artist David C Clements. It’s been a bit of a long road for David since he released his debut album, ‘The Longest Day In History’ in 2016. Having worked tirelessly to write and record music around life’s demands and moments, David is ready to release his follow-up album, ‘The Garden’, out on 20 September. Under the guidance of Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol), David was encouraged to take his time and explore co-writing. Co-written and produced with Iain Archer (Snow Patrol, Noah Kahan, James Bay), ‘Contrast’ is a rousing, acoustic guitar-led ode with a vibrant string accompaniment and soaring chorus. Following its first play on Jo Whiley's Radio 2 show last week, expect to see this track pick up playlist additions across DSPs, alongside spins on Irish radio. Tastemaker support for David’s music has come from BBC Introducing in Northern Ireland, BBC Ulster, Hotpress, Earmilk and more. A touching and upbeat ode.
