Carnival

Dark Tropics

self-release

WE SAY

Instantly catching your attention with its haunting piano motif, lush vocals and upbeat bass hooks, ‘Carnival’ is the latest pop noir offering from Irish duo Dark Tropics. With its alluring swagger and cinematic nature, ‘Carnival’ takes you down a twisted path of love and lust that you will find hard to resist and forget. It’s a total earworm. We love it. Released today (20 September) and accompanied by this gorgeous video, ‘Carnival’ is primed for spins on Radio 1, 2 and 6 Music, along with new release programming and alternative/pop editorial playlists at DSPs. The track marks quite a journey for the duo, who we featured in February 2020 with the delicious debut ‘Badlands’. Since then, they have released their debut album ‘INK’ and have been championed by Radio 1, 2 and 6 Music, along with KEXP, KCRW, Absolute Radio, Billboard, Clash and more. 2023 sees them enter a new era and by the sound of this and previous singles, ‘Midnight 10th of December’ and ‘I Bet You Can’, it’s one that is very exciting.
