WE SAY

The tracks we've heard so far from 22 year-old Londoner Dan Smith put him in quite a different place than most male troubadours of the moment. 'Alchemy' puts us in mind of the sharp piano-driven pop of Ben Folds and other tracks, like b-side 'Words Are Words' on his MySpace', did enough to pique our interest too. With a single launch event for this track next month he looks set to build on his live presence, having already supported the likes of Frank Turner and Kid Harpoon.
