Long Night Of Life
dan le sac ft. Merz
WE SAY
Long Night Of Life is a pulsing house-pop gem from an outstanding debut album with vocals from cult electronic folk singer Merz. The future release from dan le sac’s solo album - Space Between The Words (out now) - has already seen spins from Lauren Laverne and Steve Lamacq at 6Music, with John Kennedy and Eddy Temple Morris leading the way at Xfm. The LP is picking up riotous press, including an 8/10 from Uncut, superlative laden reviews from print mags Mojo, Time Out, and Q, the latter of which hit the nail of the head surmising le sac's work as having "the verve of Joe Goddard, le sac embarks on a riot of post-everything club beats". With other collaborators including B Dolan, Emmy the Great, Sarah Williams White, Joshua Idehen and Pete Hefferan, the sound here is a sideways step from the percussive atmospherics used on his long-standing collaborations with Scroobius Pip, which resulted in two top 40 albums. Having performed his first live 'album show' at Bestival le sac will now embark on a 23 date UK tour. Video.
