Nobody Knows (ft. The Very Best)
Dan Croll
WE SAY
We've long been supporters and fans of Dan Croll, most recently at the start of the year with his track From Nowhere. If you've not consciously heard his music yet, it may have sneaked into your head without realising, thanks to high-profile TV ad sync deals with Toshiba, Deichmann shoes and even Cathedral City Cheese, no less. This brand new track, which has just gone to radio this week, is one of eight additional songs that come from a 20-track expanded version of his Top 30 debut album Sweet Disarray. Live dates across the summer include the opening day of Scotland's mighty T In The Park festival on July 11, Oxford's Truck Festival the following week and Newquay's Boardmasters event on August 8. Oh, and he's off to Sao Paulo, ahead of England's first World Cup game on June 14 as the British Embassy have chosen him to be a cultural ambassador during the tournament. Musically, this great track's got the same lilting rhythms that you'll find on the classic 1986 album Graceland. The reason being that he, like Paul Simon, has been in South Africa working with the likes of the Ladysmith Black Mambazo choir on these new songs. It's worked out brilliantly for him and gives his sound a new focus and direction, full of positive summer vibes. His year looks bright indeed.
