Damian is the son of Bob Marley and Jamaica's 1977 Miss World winner Cindy Breakspeare. Welcome To Jamrock proves a point about sons and daughters of rock stars. If you make a substandard track, it will be met with a groan as Damian's brothers have sometimes found. But Welcome To Jamrock is a great track, effortlessly authentic and retro in sound, yet very fresh with real crossover potential. The buzz is huge. Zane Lowe even made it "hottest record in the world today" on his Radio 1 show recently and Jo Whiley gave it a daytime spin too.
