WE SAY
19 year old Irish singer-songwriter Curtis Walsh is an artist we have been keeping tabs on over the past year since we introduced you to him last August. Having amassed over 15m combined streams for his debut EP Breathe and further tastemaker support for his singles from the likes of Clash, Koala Kontrol, Radio 2 and Spotify, the young artist is back with an ode about hope and support. Co-written with RotD-featured Archie Langley (St. Lundi) and producer Brad Mair, Midnight is a vulnerable, yet upbeat and soaring piano-based ballad. Upon release last Friday (24 July), it was immediately added to New Music Friday on Spotify UK and several high profile playlists on Apple Music (New Music Daily, Today's Acoustic), as well as picking up early plays on several Irish radio stations. Having already supported the likes of Tom Walker, James TW and New Rules, this summer would have seen this rising star touring the UK on his own, but we will have to wait a bit longer.
