Fear Of Opening My Mouth

Collapsing Cities

unsigned/ Way Out West

WE SAY

New Zealand band Collapsing Cities have built up a reputation with their spiky indie post-punk guitar sound. Their debut single comes out on Way Out West, a tastemaker label with a very good track record. The smart lyrics and pop hooks reeled us in over a couple of listens, while it was played last week by Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, and Colin Murray at R1.'Seriously' on their MySpace sounds fantastic too. A John Kennedy session on XFM is lined-up for next week, as are several London gigs and a June support slot with Black Kids. Debut album 'Elixir Always' will follow later this year. They are currently unsigned. JF London gigs: May 27, Buffalo Bar N1/ May 30, Wilmington Arms EC1/ May 31, Proud Galleries NW1
