Jeff Fenster (The Killers, Britney Spears) signed Clear Static to Island Def Jam, they made a record, then Jeff left IDJ, as did the band, with finished record in hand. Then Martin Heath (The Killers, Betty Boo) signed them to Lizard King and tweaked the record for UK release. We think they have a real shot and the Killers connection will do them no harm at all - they have that '80s influence with a dash of alternative but above all, they have big pop songs.
