WE SAY
A second outing for the sunny post-pop vibes of Games by Munich five-piece Claire, whom we featured as an unsigned band (for the UK anyway) in August last year. So we're excited to see that they have now been picked up by Capitol and are headed to these shores for three shows later this month courtesy of CAA. Games is a lovely slice of mid-tempo electro-pop, already a big hit in Germany and slated for release here on February 23. We're reminded of a poppier London Grammar, while former touring partners Chvrches, Bastille and Capital Cities aren't too far off the mark either. Online praise comes from Best Fit to Pitchfork to a Guardian NBOTD last month. Follow-up single Broken Promise Land is another dreamy helping of lush and credible pop, suggesting strength in forthcoming album The Great Escape, due out in May. Well worth checking out one of their London shows, listed below. Video.
