Chasing Grace

Naughtyboy Recordings [under exclusive licence to Universal Island]

WE SAY

Fresh from supporting the likes of Sam Smith, John Newman and Ellie Goulding on tour, Naughty Boy protégée’s Chasing Grace hail from Hertfordshire and comprise of old school friends Phil Plested (vocals), Phil Leigh (keys & electric guitar), Matt Holmes (drums) and 18-year-old Grace Ackerman (vocals).  The track has picked up early Radio 1 and 1XTRA support with spins from the likes of Zane Lowe, Mistajam and Fearne Cotton, while tastemaker blogs such as Line of Best Fit are already falling over themselves to heap praise on the bandThroughout February the band are hosting a weekly Monday night residency at The Social in London with the line-up for Monday 17 also including George The Poet, JP Cooper and Kahlia BakosiThe group have been holed up in the studio for the past year honing their craft with Naughty Boy, who provides the production flair behind their music.
For a debut single, we reckon this is bang on the money. Very current-sounding, uplifting and showing immense promise, when mainstream media jump onto it, expect a sizeable chart hit that punters will eagerly lap up.
