Stargirl
Charlotte Plank
WE SAY
Next up on our Ones To Watch 2025 is rising Anglo-Australian artist Charlotte Plank. Coming from the Loud LDN collective (Piri, Venbee), the 23 year old has had a phenomenal 18 months with her pairing of pop-skewed vocals and songwriting with harder underground drum & bass and ’90s rave-inspired sounds. Having dropped her addictive debut EP, ‘InHer World’, at the end of last year, Charlotte has followed this up with a series of singles in 2024, including ‘Nightshift’ (Radio 1 playlist for 10 weeks) and this anthemic and dreamy fan favourite with producer Jakwob in September. Plus, she was also nominated with Rudimental for Song of the Year at the BRIT Awards for ‘Dancing Is Healing’. Her infectious hooks and sing-out-loud vibes have seen her music played across Radio 1, BBC Introducing and Kiss, featured heavily across DSP playlists at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and SoundCloud, and praised by likes of Zane Lowe, the Independent, Notion, Dork and DJMag, to name just a few. On the live front, December will see her tour Australia/New Zealand, closing out the Rhythm & Vines festival on NYE. This coming from a busy headline UK tour and prior summer performances at Glastonbury, Kendal Calling, Eden Ibiza, Pitchfork Paris, Boardmasters and supporting Kenya Grace on her UK tour. We love her pop-fused take on D&B and have seen her grow from strength to strength since our first feature in October 2023. We reckon 2025 is only going to be brighter for this stargirl and it’s not only us either, with Vevo also tipping her as one of their DSCVR Artists to Watch 2025.
