Chaka Khan's comeback album 'Funk This' was produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and has just been released Stateside. Her first album with new material in 10 years, the first single in the US was Angel, an original ballad written by Chaka which has turned into her biggest US solo radio hit in over 15 years - going Top 10 at Urban Adult radio. In the US, Disrespectful is getting good airplay at mix show and specialty radio programming and is top 10 on the Billboard club charts. Both voices work well on this with Jam and Lewis' production adding extra bite. The album is an interesting prospect, with some really fine original work from a legendary artist - Chaka is signed to Sony/Burgundy for the world ex-UK with the rights available for here. JF
