Brother

Cha:dy

unsigned

WE SAY

We’ve been following the talented Parisian alt-jazz singer-songwriter Cha:dy for three years now and have previously featured her gorgeous track Lazy back in February and the slick, alt R&B jammer Like A Boi in 2018. Now she is back with her finest yet, this powerful and thought-provoking number that addresses the pain, history and the events that led to the BLM movement last year. Released last week, Brother is a beautifully composed and orchestrated track with soft, rich melodies, sweeping strings, and lush percussive elements. Brother received its premiere on Complex yesterday, and we reckon this will be the first of many more features and playlist additions over the coming days. Much like Celeste and Amy Winehouse, Cha:dy’s velvety yet raspy vocals are a bewitching listen and one we can quite happily go back to listen to again and again. Marvellous.
