Teach Me How To Dance With You
Causes
WE SAY
With close to two million plays of the video on YouTube and more than seven million Spotify streams worldwide for this fabulous song, Amsterdam-based Causes already have a solid core of fans ahead of their appearance at The Great Escape. Led by British singer-songwriter Rupert Blackman, he formed the band in Holland after moving there to be with a girl he loved. The relationship fell apart, he found solace and a musical kinship with guitarist Jan Schröder, and soon a four-piece came together to record the hugely successful debut album Under Bridges That You Build For Me, which went Top 10 on release, spawned several big hit singles and which gets a UK release this week. The band played The Lexington in London two nights ago (May 16) and perform at The Hope & Ruin in Brighton tomorrow night (May 19). Tipped by Clash, The Sunday Times, Independent and The Sun, this is their breakthrough anthem. It's a heartfelt, stripped-back, passionate love song that sounds glorious in the early summer sunshine on Radio 2’s B List right now. Divine and sublime.
