I Wish I Gave You Hell
CATTY
WE SAY
Caernarfon-born artist singer-songwriter CATTY is back with this bold, brash and mad as-hell new single, ‘I Wish I Gave You Hell’. Inspired by Stevie Nicks and Billy Idol, as well as queer trailblazers like St Vincent, the former Dusky Grey artist has been carving out a niche for herself since she released her debut solo and RotD-featured single, ‘Bella Donna’, back in 2021. A series of punchy, witchy rock-pop singles and, more recently, support slots with Dylan and Beth McCarthy have seen her receive tastemaker support from the likes of Spotify, BBC Radio 1 (Future Pop), BBC Radio Wales, Notion, DIY Magazine, NME and more. Released last week (14 June), ‘I Wish I Gave You Hell’ featured on Spotify UK’s New Music Friday playlist and would sound great on rock/pop playlists, alongside spins at Radio 1 and 6 Music. Next up is a sold-out headline show at Hackney Oslo on 4 July before she supports her hero Stevie Nicks at her BST Hyde Pack show on 12 July. We love her distinctive powerhouse vocals and emotional songwriting that packs a punch and reckon there is a bright future for CATTY.
