Holding On For Life
Broken Bells
WE SAY
Danger Mouse and James Mercer both have quite a pedigree already, of course, but describe Broken Bells as their main creative project and this first proper single from their latest album After The Disco is a quality cut. In the mix, you'll hear everything you loved about Air in their Moon Safari days blended with timeless Bee Gees-esque melodic perfection along with 70s West Coast influences, we reckon, it's a truly heady brew. The duo are in the UK for promo right now including sessions with Xfm plus Lauren at 6 Music and Dermot for his always-essential Radio 2 Saturday show. The London show at Shepherd's Bush Empire on March 24 will be one of the hottest tickets in town, especially after glowing reviews for the album right across the board from the music weeklies, monthlies and broadsheets alike. Oh, and the classy video is worth checking out too especially if you're a House Of Cards fan.
