Bright Light Bright Light
WE SAY
Fresh from a nationwide tour with Ellie Goulding, Bright Light Bright Light (aka Rod Thomas) finishes 2010 with this cover of David Lynch and Angelo Badelamenti's brilliant Twin Peaks theme (which was a Top 10 hit for Julee Cruise in 1990). As blog Arjan Writes called it, a 'beautifully crafted, wonderfully performed tune' which follows from his debut single Love Pt. II, released on Popjustice HiFi earlier this year (which we featured back in August). Radio support for that came from Huw Stephens at Radio 1. This excellent choice of cover is typical of the perfect pop touches applied throughout his work. Due to play a string of shows at SXSW next year, Bright Light Bright Light is available for records and publishing.
