Here Tonight
Brett Young
WE SAY
Nashville-based country star Brett Young is already a multi-platinum selling artist in the US with the release of his self-titled debut album last year. Since its release, the CMA nominated artist (for New Artist of the Year) has won ASCAP awards for his singles, In Case You Didn’t Know & Like I Loved You, as well as being named their Artist-Songwriter of the Year, plus he also picked up the BMI award for Song of the Year (In Case You Didn’t Know) and the ACM’s gong for New Male Vocalist of the Year too. Taken from his second album, Ticket To L.A., released today (7 December), Here Tonight is the gorgeous lead single produced by Dann Huff (Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson). It's already amassed over 9m streams and effortlessly showcases his easy SoCal vibe with heartfelt lyrics over a vibrant and anthemic country sound. The track has picked up spins by Bob Harris on his Radio 2 show and next week Chris Country Radio have named Ticket To L.A. as their Album of the Week while Maverick Magazine have featured Brett on their front cover for this month’s magazine. Having performed at Country to Country festival earlier this year, further tastemaker support has come from Evening Standard, Music Week, Entertainment Focus and BBC Radio Scotland. It's all shaping up rather nicely for this Californian and with over 300m Spotify combined streams to date, he looks like he is on to another winning album release, with a sound that the growing country fan base in the UK will love.
