Jack
Breach
WE SAY
Originally appearing on Dirtybird earlier this year, this catchy club banger from UK producer/DJ Breach, aka Ben Westbeech, has been building steadily since causing a stir at the Miami Winter Music Conference in March. Jack is a sparse but maddeningly infectious track - a crisp, urgent groove resisted by a sluggish bassline ambling along under a repeated, pitched-up vocal - 'Let's jack'. Skream has called it his favourite tune of the year, while club and radio support reads like a who's who of EDM leading lights - Disclosure, Duke Dumont Annie Mac, MistaJam, Rob Da Bank and Annie Nightingale to name a few - while Breach himself has a Radio 1 Essential Mix planned for later this month. To his long list of fans Breach can now add Radio 1's Zane Lowe, who has just made the track his single of the week. Built very much for the dancefloor, Jack now seems to be taking over the airwaves too.
