WE SAY
Boy & Bear look set to be the next in a line of quality acts breaking out of Australia. Having toured with Mumford & Sons, Angus & Julia Stone and Laura Marling at home, they also supported the latter on her UK tour. They won the title of Unearthed Artists of the Year at the 2010 J Awards and are preparing to record an album in the US with producer Joe Chiccarell (The Shins, The Strokes). They were recently featured on the NME Buzz chart and reached No1 on The Hype Machine for this beautiful track, which joins a fragile opening with a rousing chorus. Their debut EP With Emperor Antarctica is out on 10' vinyl through Chess Club this week - it surely won't be long before their record is licensed for this part of the world too.
