Born Ruffians
WE SAY
Toronto's Born Ruffians have been enjoying more exposure of late in the UK as this track features in the new Orange mobile phone TV campaign. It was first released back in March and at the time found favour on Zane Lowe's 'Fresh Meat' slot and was Colin Murray's Record of the Week. The band also appeared on C4 drama Skins playing this song. This has been playlisted on MTV2 and is currently at number seven on the Shazam pre-release Tag Chart. Twisting and turning tempo changes make this a very enjoyable piece of indie pop. Not unlike Vampire Weekend in their eclectic influences, this is one of many enjoyable moments from their debut album, Red, Yellow & Blue. JF
