U Sure Do (featuring Soulest)
Bluey
WE SAY
You know this song from its original 1994 hit version by British duo Strike, which was a Top 5 smash and continues to be a perennial favourite on weekend Club Classics radio shows. London born DJ and producer Bluey recently heard the track thrown into a set in Ibiza, then came back to the UK and was inspired to reinvent it for 2016. In essence though, he’s kept all of the original charm, along with that distinctive bassline that runs throughout, and beefed it up for new generation thanks to a killer vocal from singer Soulest, giving it an added bounce and sleek makeover. And that’s what appeals to us, as people continue to rediscover and reassess just how great many of those mid-90’s dance hits still work today, even without the nostalgic angle to carry them through. The video was recently premiered on SB:TV and Bluey will no doubt drop this into his set as part of his Saturday night club residency in Mayfair tomorrow (October 29). As the festive party season approaches, this undisputed anthem now sounds as fresh as ever, ready to remain a favourite for at least another two decades.
