Black Arts In The Town Hall
Bitmap
WE SAY
We have to admit we'd never heard of Bitmap, AKA Luke Barwell, or the charmingly named Nottingham label which puts out his records, until we were sent this single. What a find. Pertinent quote from the NME's 8/10 album review: "If Bitmap could change their name to the Beta Band, thousands would hail this as the album that finally confirmed their potential." This is sonically as lovely as Beta Band or early Gorky's with a melody that either band would kill for (or their labels would kill for anyway).
