She’ll Turn To Stone

Having impressed audiences at the Great Escape festival last week with her haunting and evocative compositions, singer-songwriter Janie Price, aka Bird, has now released her latest single, ‘She’ll Turn To Stone’. Co-written with ex-Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes and produced by Mike Hedges (U2, Dido, The Cure), the track combines rich orchestration with dreamy atmospherics and traditional folk elements to create a beautifully cinematic soundscape. Taken from her forthcoming soundtrack album for the award-winning short film, ‘Wider Than The Sky’, on 5 June, the track, again, shows her talent for creating vivid compositions. Watch the video here. Tastemaker praise has come from Wonderland, Telegraph, Express, Live N’ Loud, BBC Wales and BBC Radio 5, where she completed a live session on Patrick Kielty’s show. To celebrate the album launch, Janie will be hosting a special event at Everyman Kings Cross on 5 June, including a film screening, a live performance and a Q&A session.
