Bimini

Relentless Records

WE SAY

Continuing our Ones To Watch 2023 is rising cultural icon Bimini. Born and raised in Great Yarmouth, Bimini moved to London where they worked successfully as a DJ and club host, eventually being crowned Miss Sink The Pink at the LGBTQ+ club night of the same name in 2019. Bimini first found global fame on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2021 and they have spent the last year working on a collection of tracks for release, collaborating with the likes of Joy Anonymous, Benjy Gibson, Jin Jin, Everyone You Know and Redshank. Signed to Relentless Records, the first of those offerings includes this club ready and euphoric number. Sitting firmly in the electronic dance sphere, Bimini’s music is full of hooks and sprinkled with pop and rock influences. It has seen them perform at Download Festival, support Muna on their UK tour as well as hosting the regular House Of Trash club night at Electrowerkz. Editorial features have come from DIY, Notion, Kerrang!, Dazed, The Face and GQ Style to go with playlisting in Spotify’s Altar and early support from Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale. Alongside their music, Bimini has taken part in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Selfridges, H&M and Maison Margiela, and with over 1.5m social media followers, has built a loyal fanbase for their innate sense of style, energy and creativity, boasting followers and fans in Ariana Grande, Yungblud, Demi Lovato, Self Esteem and Sam Smith among others. Early next year, they will release their first EP full of “bangers for crying on the dancefloor” and we reckon, from their music so far, it’s going to be a big 2023 for Bimini.
