With a timeless and classic sound wrapped in a modern pop sensibility and cinematic flair, Toronto’s Bianca James produces glamorous soul pop. Influenced by American and British 1960s styles with a splash of Motown, Bianca self-released her self-titled debut album this summer. Recorded in LA, Toronto and the UK (Konk Studios) with producers Rob Kleiner (Sia, David Guetta) and Thomas McKay, the album has picked up tastemaker praise from Wonderland, Earmilk, Wordplay, Official Charts, Amazing Radio UK and Rolling Stone Germany, to name just a few. DSP support has come from Apple Music, which has featured her on its New Music Daily, Best In Pop, Neu In Pop and Breaking Pop editorial playlists. This suave dose of glamorous soul pop is the album’s highlight and effortlessly showcases her lush vocals and sound. Already working on her second album in Amsterdam, Bianca is currently looking for a UK label, publishing and booking agent.
