With its sweet soul sound and heavenly gospel choir harmonies, ‘Let It Go’ is the gorgeous new single from Norwegian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bernhoft. Lifted from his forthcoming new album ‘Avenue Of Loveless Hearts’ out tomorrow (6 October), the song depicts a journey of yearning and would be perfect for new release programming and soul-based editorial playlists at DPS’s. With its radio-friendly feel, we can easily see this being picked up for spins on shows at Radio 2, Virgin, and Absolute Radio. Having initially found success as the lead singer in rock quartet Span, Bernhoft went solo and in 2014 had a viral hit with ‘C’mon Talk’ that introduced him to a global audience. His album ‘Islander’ then went on to have international success and received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B album. Now back with a new album and renewed ambition, ‘Let It Go’ is the perfect taster and introduction/re-introduction to his blend of soul and pop.
