22 year old Berkcan Demir is a Turkish producer from Ankara who, at the age of 15, started to produce music. He has since been honing his craft while also DJing at some of the biggest clubs in Istanbul and his home town, as well as opening for Deadmau5. Released today and featuring on Turkish and Italian Spotify New Music Friday playlists, Berkcan has produced a beautiful and atmospheric debut with a gorgeous blend of deep basses, warped synth melodies and addictive beats. Firmly in the chilled banger category, Hopes is primed for some extensive mood and contextual playlists additions over the coming weeks across Europe, plus we reckon with its edgy pop vibes it has the potential to slow build into a summer crossover hit. Expect to hear spins of this on specialist dance radio shows at Radio 1, Capital Xtra and Kiss shortly but for now, just hit play.
