WE SAY
Ben Howard has built a solid fanbase out of the surfing community in the West Country and is set to release his first proper EP through the Communion label (but has since signed to Island). The EP has only been with radio for two weeks and word-of-mouth support and radio plays from all areas (Lauren Laverne to Zane Lowe to Jo Whiley and more besides) has seen the Old Pine EP enter the Top 30 of the iTunes albums chart. Fragile folk, complete with intricate guitar work and a keen sense of melody, Old Pine instantly engages. Watch the suitably scenic and beautifully-shot video here.
