The Good Life

Belot

Submarine Cat Records

WE SAY

We’ve talked about our love for “awkward pop” pioneer Belot before on RotD, but she really has outdone herself this time on the infectious banger ‘The Good Life’. Premiered on Radio 1’s Future Sounds with Clara Amfo on Wednesday and receiving a follow up spin on Jack Saunders's Future Artists show, the song is a fun blast of uplifting pop, filled with glossy textures, killer hooks and an addictive beat. The BRIT School graduate has managed to distil early Calvin Harris with the infectious pop nature of Kylie and Dua Lipa. Perfect for new pop and uplifting contextual playlists at DSPs, this vibrant number will have you happily bopping along wherever you are. Having already caught the attention of tastemakers The Line of Best Fit, Clash, Earmilk and BBC Radio 1 for her music, this new dose of quirky pop is another gem to add to her burgeoning catalogue of pop nuggets.
