Flame
Bell x1
WE SAY
They're big in their native Ireland. They used to be in a band with Damien Rice. Both reasons we're interested in Bell x1, but we were fans before we knew about these things. Their music manages to be grave and peculiar at the same time, like their early lyric about the missing jigsaw piece, or the chorus line here. Nice Leonard Cohen reference too. Their album is major hit in Ireland right now. They deserve a break in the UK and they could be about to get it. Look out for a creditable remix by Chicken Lips too. London date: March 19 at Scala plus secret gig at Bush Hall tonight
