Claire
Baxter Dury
WE SAY
Complete with a dry delivery, a pinch of swagger and some inspired backing vocals, Baxter Dury returns with Claire, the first single to be taken from his forthcoming album Happy Soup. Produced by Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Portishead) the album has received plenty of support across the press including a 4* review in Q and coverage in Time Out, Uncut, Mojo, NME, Guardian website and GQ online. Healthy radio support has come from Zane Lowe on Radio 1, Jo Whiley at Radio 2, Steve Lamacq at 6Music and Jon Kennedy at Xfm. Out August 15, Happy Soup is available for publishing. Whilst this isn't an album full of singles, it is a hugely compelling listen as a complete work, something increasingly rare in the age of the mp3. Video.
