Bad Blood

Bastille

Virgin/EMI

WE SAY

Bastille AKA Dan Smith's second single on Virgin is another show of energetic pop writing, and coupled with a rapidly expanding reputation for exceptional live performances, stands him in strong stead as the spotlight grows ever brighter. Bad Blood follows an explosive few months that have seen the band play a sold out UK tour as well as three sold out shows in London, including a much lauded show at the Scala. Their forthcoming show at Koko looks set to follow that trend two months before the first note is played. This single has received great support across Radio 1, from the likes of Fearne Cotton, Huw Stephens, Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw and Dev, leading to INMWT playlisting, with further playlisting on both MTV and Xfm. Their Laura Palmer EP peaked at No.15 on the iTunes chart with two of the tracks reaching No.1 on the Hype Machine chart. There's clearly strong demand for Bastille's talent, and as he continues to produce music of this quality, a new generation of fans are hanging on every note. Video.
